Is Western Express really that awful?

Hello, so long story short I basically have a truck abandonment on my record. I called the company, told them I’d be leaving it in a company drop yard, cleaned it out and left the key under the hood. This was 3 years ago after like 2 weeks of going solo after company CDL training. I was younger and really fucking dumb. I’m 24 now and want to do class A work after doing class B work for 2 years. I applied to Swift they said no, Prime said FUCK NO. So I applied to Western Express and they said sure and also said they would let me do a refresher course and go out for training. Are the horror stories about Western true? I’m from Massachusetts and they have a terminal in Pennsylvania that’s 4 & a half hours away which isn’t bad at all. I really just want another chance. Is western worth it? Thanks guys! Also anyone who works for Western express, how has it been?
