We bought this to back up to the campground to see our cargo behind the fifth wheel. We towed the SUV, the picture quality was good, and I was impressed with the night vision. Including antennas works great where we don’t need to use extended antennas yet. It seems to be well built. I like that you can take it off after parking. The bottom is a very durable magnetic bottom.

Received our Back up camera and monitor today. Very pleased. Super easy installation and quality products.
Simply plugged in monitor to cigarette lighter, mounted monitor with suction cup to windshield. Turned on back up camera and they were already paired.
Backup camera is high quality with a super strong magnet. Simply place on back of your vehicle at your preferred position.
My wife and I bought a 2006 class B RV and it was too old to have a backup camera.
Had purchased a different back up camera that was supposed to hook up to rear middle tail light. Did not fit and was very complicated to run wires, get power etc…
Returned that camera and ordered this one.
It’s perfect for our situation. Will leave monitor hooked up to dash and will place magnetic camera on our RV when we get to site and need to assist us.
Take camera off vehicle when done and store in vehicle until needed
again.
Probably would be fine to leave on vehicle while driving, but don’t want to take the chance of losing it while driving.
Highly recommend this camera for this type of situation.

I have taken several trips with the camera in my camper-van. The camera and monitor work great, however the camera fell off the van when the rear door slammed and broke the antenna. The monitor also dropped from the windshield and broke the antenna. It was pass the warranty so I taped them into position and they are working fine. The camera needs be to charged, and should be after each trip. The battery does last for hours. The camera should be removed from vehicle when parked or it can be stolen.

I purchased this camera as an adjunct to my camping set-up. I have a travel trailer that I tow behind my truck. I am a widower and also camp alone. Re-hitching my truck to the trailer can sometimes be a pain in the rear…or at least, it used to be. Now I place this camera on my rear bumper right by the hitch and I can back up one time and position the hitch perfectly every time. No help needed! In addition, the camera can be mounted anywhere for added security when I am camping, as long as the base screen is plugged in. The battery seems to last a long time with intermittent use, and the picture? It is PHENOMENAL! The camera itself is built like a tank- solid and heavy metal. This was a great buy for the price.

No more trips to see where the hitch is

I have several trailers that I’m constantly hooking up to with either my truck (older model with no camera) or Polaris Ranger. I was constantly having to get out and go back to see how close I was to the trailer hitch. For the Ranger, I attached a short piece of angle iron to have a mounting point for the camera. Now I can back up to any of the trailers and watch on the monitor as I back up to the hitch. The only time I get out of my vehicle now, is to go and hook up the trailer. I’ve used it 5-6 times and haven’t had to recharge the camera yet, but I turn it off after I’ve hooked up the trailer. Being able to adjust the monitor (flip the picture) is great — depending on the mounting point of the camera.

I’m using this on a John Deere tractor and loader. The loader has adapters for skid steer attachments. The problem with using skid steer attachments is that you can’t always see over the hood of the tractor. This is especially true when using my pallet forks. After some experimentation I found the best place to mount the camera was on the adapter. The monitor fired right up and linked with the camera. There is a learning curve on using this setup but it works great. I plan on using this system in several different configurations and I’ll try to update my review as I use them.
Update 17 Mar 2023. Just received the 110 volt adapter for the monitor. Model number ALT-2401. Now I can use the camera system around the house and the shop. I plan on using it in the shop the most. It will give me another view for lathe.
