No metal plate

Update: I contacted the seller, using the email address on the box, and received a quick response saying that they now put a metal plate in the box, so I checked the box again and found the metal plate. The camera provides an excellent picture and I love the 7 inch monitor. Overall, a quality product and they make sure you have everything you need for installation.

I’ve not had the opportunity to use this product as the magnetic base will not adhere directly to the surface of my RV. I tried contacting the seller to get the “free metal plate” with no luck. Now I have to go to the store and see if I can find a metal plate near the size of the base. If the exterior of your RV is not metal, you’re likely to have the same problem.

I absolutely love my camera system. My trailer is aluminum, so I screwed a steel plate to the top of the trailer and the camera’s magnets are SUPER strong. No way it will come off the trailer from bumps etc… Also the range is incredible and I’ve never lost signal. Matter of fact, once I forgot to turn the camera off and I was coming back home and I picked up the trailer camera signal from about 1/4 mile away and was shocked. The refresh rate on the video screen is very fast too, so there’s no ghosting or blurry images. I would definitely recommend this camera system for trailers and RV’s.

This was easy to install and has a great image. My previous camera was wired along the frame and the wired didn’t last long. The screen is huge and the pic is clear, with a super-strong magnet. I was glad I didn’t have to drill into the car to attach it. I would recommend.

I got this to help docking our new 48 SeaRay sedan bridge boat. The new boat has a bimini top over the cockpit that prevents me my seeing the stern of the boat from the bridge when I am backing into our slip. The camera was shipped fast and is definitely high quality. It was easy to install in minutes. I gave it four stars only because in the end I didn’t use. I just couldn’t get used to docking my boat by camera and monitor. I ended up taking down the bimini top.

Took all of 3 minutes to install, very good picture quality durning daylight. Have not used it at night. Very good value. Installed on 31′ MH, factory unit died after 8 years. If you have a fiberglass unit you will need to install a small medal plate for the magnet to attach to. I glued a 3″ x 4″ plate to the back, did not want to drill into the fiberglass.

Instructions could be a lot better, I would like to find a way to leave it on constantly and not have to get a ladder out to turn on the rear camera each time

It was ecspecailly conveinet to install this camera without running wires to the back of the camper,
we own a small camper that we use to vacation 4 to 5 times thru the year. Some time parking can get hairy,
and also I find it usefull to see in back of us when parked for saftey reasons. This is well worth every penny
and the display is extremly sharp and the frames do not lag in response time. Hopefully we will purhcase another for
the boat for backing up to the dock.
