Ingredients:
• For the French Toast:
o 4 slices of thick brioche or Texas toast
o 2 large eggs
o 1/4 cup milk
o 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
o Pinch of salt
o 1 tbsp butter (for cooking)
• For the Filling:
o 1/2 lb ground beef (formed into two patties)
o 4 slices of American cheese
o 4 slices of bacon, cooked until crispy
o 1 small onion, sliced into rings
o 2-3 slices of tomato
o Pickles, to taste
o Big Mac sauce (or thousand island dressing)
o Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Prepare the French Toast:
In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated, and then place them on the skillet. Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Set aside.
2. Cook the Beef Patties:
Season the ground beef patties with salt and pepper. In the same skillet, cook the patties over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until your desired doneness is reached. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
3. Assemble the Sandwich:
Spread Big Mac sauce on one side of each French toast slice. On two of the slices, layer the cooked beef patty with melted cheese, followed by crispy bacon, onion rings, tomato slices, and pickles. Top with the remaining French toast slices, sauce side down.
4. Serve:
Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately, with a side of fries or your favorite sides.
