I grabbed this as a cheap travel TV, just to have a small option available to connect other devices via HDMI. Being so small, and cheap, I wasn’t expecting fantastic quality or anything but I was at least expecting something that would work. It turns on, and the menus work fine, but as soon as I connect an HDMI device (in this case a small portable console emulator) the signal starts rapidly dropping and reconnecting. It’ll work fine for a few seconds, then drop to a blue blank screen for a moment, and reconnect. The audio drops out as well, sometimes with the video, and sometimes on its own.
The console works just fine with my normal TV, and the cable is fine, it’s just this little TV that is failing.
Aside from that (which is a pretty massive problem), the picture quality isn’t really that bad when it’s actually visible. The sound is hollow and tinny, coming from minuscule speakers, but it matches the price point.
I haven’t really tried anything else with it, it has failed almost completely at the one job I had for it. I’d stay far away from this TV unless you’re feeling lucky, the one I ended up with is hot garbage.
