The cam is nice but since 1/4 to 1/3 of the screen is taken up when both front and rear cams are used, it is not useful as a backup cam because the image is too small.

bought this product on the reviews that i saw and must say mine must have been built on a sunday. had it about 4.5 weeks and have tried to format two different sd cards and can’t format. the screen has separated from the body and now there is a quarter inch gap. and the suction falls down at least twice a week. cant tell you how it works because i cant get it to work. and of course this all started happening right after the return window closed.

Worked great for about 6 months

The media could not be loaded.

The camera itself was fine. I appreciate the different options for mounting and setup, and the camera worked great when I first got it. It picks up sound very well (including every little creak and clunk in my 20-year-old vehicle), the video is decent, and its idle “collision’ features are fairly responsive.

However, after about six months of consistent use, the front (main) camera stopped functioning properly. Video would be heavily distorted and often completely unusable, with black and white flashing screens or magenta and green footage distracting me as I drove. Malfunctions are inconsistent but becoming more frequent as time goes on. I was hopeful that it might just be an issue with the screen itself, but the footage recorded onto the memory card displays these same distortions, so any video recorded during these episodes is useless. The camera does still record, so I’m considering just moving the rear camera to the front of my vehicle so I can get any useful footage at all.
