Made this for my partner and I tonight. One friendly tip I'll give is that saffron extracts much better when you let it rest in ice water rather than boiling water. I did a test between the two and the ice water was hands down more potent. Fill a small glass with crushed ice (1.25 – 1.5 cups), add about a gram of crushed saffron onto the ice, then pour about 1 cup of cool water it. It will take awhile but let it sit until all the ice melts. Make sure you crush your saffron strands with a mortar and pestle or chop it finely with a knife. It was one of the most delicious meals I've ever eaten.
